| Picture Slide Show Pet of the Month OZZY "The Incredible Harnessed Cat" Burlington, VT |
| Pet Of The Month : Ozzy The Pet of the Month for August is a very cool cat named Ozzy. I've taken care of Ozzy when his owners were away many times over the past couple years. He has a great personality and is a very sweet cat. When I go to see Ozzy he always greets me at the door and starts purring away. After I feed and care for Ozzy, he is always ready for a round of playtime. Ozzy likes to chase after toy mice and goes crazy when I bring a laser pointer along for him to play with. As you can see from the slide show above, Ozzy loves to drink water from the bath tub faucet! He has no problem posing for the camera! I've take care of many cats, but Ozzy is the only harness trained cat I've met. Ozzy's owners love him very much and do not feel comfortable with the dangers of letting him outside to roam. Instead, they have trained him to walk on a harness. Ozzy is able to explore the outside and still remain safe from cars, getting lost and many of the other dangers of being loose outside. Inside of Ozzy's house there are lots of pictures of him displayed on the wall. Ozzy's dad, Josh, has also made several drawings of him that you can see in the above slide show. These drawings are part of a children's book he is working on, The Adventures of Ozzy the Incredible Harnessed Cat. It will try to normalize walking your cat as opposed to letting them run free outdoors where they can encounter many dangerous situations. The book is told from Ozzy's perspective, as a cat who hates being harnessed and fantasizes about what he would do if he was free. But when he actually does get free by accident, he realizes how good he has it on a harness. Ozzy's parents have given him a great life! He is one happy cat with a real cool personality. Congratulations to Ozzy for being Pet of The Month! |
